CharityCharity comes in all forms depending on which one suits the giver. It could be about the giving of oneself to a charitable cause, donating money to registered charitable organisation or even sponsoring a needy child somewhere in the world.I do all of the above as i feel that i have been very fortunate in my life and the little one can do for another is a priceless gift that is soul satisfying. I am currently involved with a not for profit organisation called Whitelion. They are dedicated to helping disadvantaged young people find their way to a bigger and brighter future. Whitelion opens doors to opportunities, relationships and comminities for young people involved in the Youth Justice System and the Child Protection Centre. Their Vision is: To reconnect disadvantaged young people with the community so that they can live positive and meaningful lives. Again i have been very fortunate to become an accredited Mentor with Whitelion in their Ramp Program. The program targets 13-17 year old young people in residential care in the Eastern Region. It is run in partnership with Reach and the aim is to support, assist in their social disengagement and self-esteem issues they experience.
